Amy Amy Janet JanetAubrey Plaza, born June 26th, 1984 is an actor and comedian well-known for her characteristic deadpan sense of humor. Her character is April Ludgate on "Parks and Recreation." After doing an improv comedy and sketch comedy show in the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater, Plaza began her web-based TV debut on "The Jeannie Tate Show." She went on to appear in Judd Apatow's "Funny People" and "Scott Pilgrim against. the World" later in her career. Make her day special! Aubrey Christina Plaza, daughter of financial advisor David Plaza and attorney Bernadette Plaza, was born in Wilmington Delaware. She is a Puerto Rican and her mother is Irish, English and Irish. Plaza has graduated from a Catholic all-girls high school in 2002. She also graduated from NYU's Tisch School of the Arts in the year 2006. At the time of her high school graduation she was leader of the Wilmington Drama League and a part of the student government. In 2004, when she was in her second year of college, Plaza had a stroke, which resulted in her being diagnosed with expressive aphasia as well as a time of paralysis. She has now recovered.
